Powdered Donuts

Ingredients
- 5 egg yolks
- 1 cake yeast
- 6 cups flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 cups milk
- 3 Tbs. unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
Method
- Mix yeast & sugar in lukewarm water; let stand.
- Mix together egg yolks, butter and yeast mixture.
- Add flour and make a soft dough. Mix well with a wooden spoon; let stand 1 hour. Do Not knead !
- Place donut dough on a floured board, and pat out to about a 1 inch thickness with your hands. Do Not use a rolling pin!
- Cut out donuts, let stand 45 minutes.
- Deep fry in oil until golden brown. Remove, drain and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
